Handmade Unique Wool Felt Handbags and Purses by Sveta

I want to thank you for visiting my site.  I create custom, fashionable, wool felt bags.  Each bag is handmade with merino wool at my shop in Downeast, Maine.

Most handcrafted wool felt purses are knitted and called felted purses.  However, there are many meanings for the words felt, felted and felting, which is confusing when talking about knitted or felted bags.  My handmade bags are wet felted.

I only use the wet felting method of turning wool into my works of art.  First, the wool fibers are laid out and wetted with hot soapy water.  Then the wool fibers are massaged until they are locked together.  I take my vision of what I want to create on each wool bag, using different colors of dyed wool to accomplish my story.  Using this method, each of my handbags and purses takes 6-10 hours of labor to create.  My handbags and purses are unique, strong, fashionable, and highly functional for everyday use and for any style. 

I offer a simple selection of handmade purses, bags and wool felt nuno scarves for you to choose from.  I make several new items each week, so check my website often to view the most current inventory.  If you would like to receive emails when I post new bags simply email me and request to be added to the mailing list.

No two bags will be the same, so your bag remains unique to you.  I do have some limitations on what I can create for you, but I will do my best to accommodate your requests.
